In order to get a clear picture of your credit profile, you must order credit reports from the three major credit bureaus, Equifax, Trans Union, and Experian. Credit bureaus require that you use a report that is less than 90 days old. Once you've disputed a report and they make the change, they must send you a new report free.  Each agency may list different information in your file, so it's important to review all three (below).

You can Get Free Credit Reports Online or by Phone at:

 www.annualcreditreport.com, (get your report immediately) or call 877-322-8228 (mailed to you in 15 days)

Get Free Credit Reports directly from the Credit Bureaus:

Alternatively you can call the three major credit bureaus directly and buy a report for $9.50, or get one free if you have been turned down by a creditor within the last 60 days.

By completing the Annual Credit Report Request Form and mailing it to: Annual Credit Report Request Service, P.O. Box 105281, Atlanta, GA 30348-5281. (in 15 days)
